Improving the circulatory system facilitates the removal of toxins from the body

Hydrotherapy: consists of using hot and cold water in intervals to increase to flow of blood to various tissues of the body, especially the skin. This must be done every day.

Take a hot shower, as hot as you can, then switch the water to pure cold for thirty seconds. Repeat the process 3 times in a row. Then rest in bed for 30 minutes to allow blood flow.

Exercise therapy: 30 minutes per day of light aerobic exercise is also an excellent way to improve circulation and mobilisation of toxins.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage: lymphatic drainage massage kick-starts the detoxification process by stimulating your lymphatic system to process toxins and eliminate what your body doesn’t need. Twice to three times a week 90 minutes per session.

3. Supplementation

Your nutritional needs during the detoxification process are quite high. Shortage of critical nutrients can inhibit the whole detoxification and cleansing process thus making you dangerously toxic. A range of nutrients to support the detoxification process, includes:

  • Antioxidants: Sulforaphane, Glutathione, Astaxanthin, Resveratrol, Quercetin, Vitamins E & C, Lipoic acid
  • Amino acids: Glycine, Glutamine, N Acetyl Cysteine
  • Herbs: Dandelion, Turmeric, Milk Thistle, Ginger, Rosemary, Artichoke, Cleavers, Burdock, Calendula petals, Echinacea

4. Relaxation/Meditation

While the main focus of the detox programme is biochemical purification of the blood, your emotional state can impact on the body’s ability to clean. Please incorporate relaxation techniques, guided meditations, restful sleep (at least 8 hours per day) into your daily routine to enhance the detox programme. Restorative Yoga is a highly recommended practice to get the body moving and revitalize your energy meridians whilst undergoing detoxification.
