Intestinal Permeability or “leaky gut”

Intestinal permeability or commonly referred to as "leaky gut" can be measured using this lactulose/mannitol test.

Increased intestinal permeability or "leaky gut" causes disease because compromised intestinal barrier allows toxic molecules to cross the intestinal barrier and enter the bloodstream resulting in poisoning the body.

Changes in intestinal permeability are associated with the following conditions:
